Registration

Registration is how accurately the separate ink colors line up on top of each other on the printed sheet.

When registration is off, you see color fringes on edges and blurry small text. Fine type built from several inks is more sensitive to it than type in a single ink.

Not sure what your job needs? Ask the people who print it.
