Overprint
Overprint means one ink prints directly on top of another instead of the area underneath being left blank.
Black text normally overprints so tiny misregistration does not leave white gaps. Overprint set by accident on a white or light element can make it vanish in print. Check overprint preview in your PDF viewer before you send the file.
