Proof
A proof is a sample of the job, on screen or on paper, that the customer checks and approves before printing.
Read every word, every phone number and every date. Under normal trade practice, mistakes you approve on a proof are yours to pay for. Read it once for sense, then once more slowly for numbers and spelling, ideally with someone who did not write the copy.
